What I know about Eid Al-Fitr is a holiday marking the end of Ramadan, the month of fasting which is one of the greatest religious observances in Islam.

Celebrating of the Eid al-Fitr holiday will begin depending on where Muslims are around the world, the sighting of a sliver of the new moon at sunset that signals it is Eid al-Fitr — the day the month-long Ramadan fast can be broken - could happen on 29th or 30th day of Ramadan spreading confusion over the day on which Eid really falls.
